Thorn-Wrapped Hope

Regret and choking sadness reign,
even the tears hold back.
Relief is too dear.

Just pain,
constant and overwhelming.

Though I may not be worthy,
but even the lowliest of dogs..
deserves a heart.

Then again,
hope never dies nor are dreams forgotten.

There's always light at the end f the tunnel.
Though it could be an on coming train,
what if it is heaven bound?
